#2 Worst Persons:

Here are Countdown's top three candidates for today's Worst Persons In The World.

The bronze, to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

With his boss John Boehner having gotten 98% of what he wanted in the debt deal.

Cantor is moving on to the next Republican milestone in Serfdom America.

Ending unemployment insurance and giving all those on it low-paying jobs.

Using Cantor's logic -- which is that the unemployed have chosen to be unemployed, but if we can get them slave wages at McDonald's they'd much rather have them than be unemployed -- I would be able to tell you that stupid people like Eric Cantor choose to be stupid.

Our runner-up: Newt Gingrich.

Again!

You knew this had to happen.

Goes on the radio and insists that the only way to get people back to work is by rebuilding " American Manufacturing. We can't have a national security system if we don't make anything. So our very survival as a country requires us to rebuild our manufacturing base."

Can we see the tape again?

The one where it turns out Mr. Manufacturing Base's campaign t-shirts are made in El Salvador?

Megalomania is a helluva drug.

But our winner, Sean Hannity of Fixed News. Sometimes he's on here for cowardice, like when he promised to be water-boarded for charity and then never did it.

Sometimes he's on here for dishonesty, or prejudice.

Today, sheer unadultered stupidity.

The argument, the latest obsession on the Right: not paying for birth control for women. Even though 27 states require insurers to do so. And most private insurance does so. And it helps stop sexually transmitted disease and unwanted pregnancy.

So you don't want to pay for birth control.

But you want me to pay your Viagra, even though you're not having sex.

Listen, Pal, your inability to get laid is not my problem.

Sean Hannity. Today's Worst Person In The World.
